In Between the Lines

Schizophrenia makes me feel
Jagged and wonder about what is real
As if mirrors had been broken
But what it takes to hear the unspoken
Seeing into the in between
Of being or not and what does it mean?

Being me seeing I had gone
Mad made me wonder about going on
Through a crack in society
All the way down into the after all
In the unseen after the fall
I could see what madness had awoken

What the unspoken had spoken
The unseen it turned out I learned to see
In a shard of broken mirror
Becoming clearer and coming nearer
The answer to my question then
The suggestion this is why I had been

Madness made an artist of me
So I thank it symptomatically
Between us to share the unseen
What I have seen there and what does it mean
But what it means for me to be
In between the lines of my poetry

"I could see what madness had awoken".........yes! You learned to see! Most people look at the whole and think they see the real. Oh, Steven, you became! You became you, a poet!!!

Love ya!

Jane

Cracks between the lines. Now, that's a new concept.
