An Interlude of Being Rude That face is like an overcooked ham Over the airwaves wherever I am Everywhere and inescapably I mute the opening mouth on TV From that angry sphincter look away And pray that the truth may come out someday Not out of that outraged hole of course Mutedly blurting out absurdity Unpuckering for suckering in The hole unfolds to a porcelain grin Polls of late like fate are getting worse Betting on some help from the universe Maybe with a little mercy on Us now we could see how we got this way And sooner rather than later than Too late may this overcooked ham be gone A cancelled show that no one will miss Turning it off we learn the lesson Of a mess that has been more or less an Interlude of being rude if we Can remember to be better than this Having done with unreality Shaking off the nightmare waking at dawn Opening our eyes surprised to see The fate of the world depends upon The urgency of our emergency Steven Curtis Lance Image by Kurt Vonnegut in Breakfast of Champions

I won't mince words. Your message is clear. Donald Trump should have never been there making a rude fool of the office of president. It was obvious from his performance on his long-running show, The Apprentice, that Donald Trump was a rude and uncouth person. Why, we the people voted for him, I will never know. But he needs to go.

No reading between the lines to understand this, and that overcooked ham is spoiled and rotten. It's past time to throw it out.

Yes, it's a shame, especially when we stress good manners in the home and teach our children love. That "overcooked ham"!!! Great descriptive!!!!
