The Dic- of It I thought this might end badly But really what a mess! And when this might end sadly Is anybody's guess An authoritarian Can never quite say yes Being a contrarian So if he has to go I suspect he might say no Being the dic- of it Within the word "dictator" The politics of fear Playing any tricks to win Though I am sick of it In the thick of it I know Seeing it happen here How it could happen again Many may interfere May we fight them anyway The outcome not quite clear But when you read this later Somehow I pray by then He goes God knows I hope so Here from the outside in Shaking off this nightmare may We all wake up someday Steven Curtis Lance

I think more people are seeing through the vitriolic bull shit that is catering to their basest desires rather than leading us to a better place. People seem to be so easily fooled by charlatans and authoritarians, as if they had no backbone without them.

A very insightful poem into what is happening. Fortunately I think the tide is turning for the better.

I didn't think there would be enough stupid people to get him elected n the 1st place, and I sure hope there are enough of those who voted for him in 2016 are a little wiser today.
