Walking in remnants of light,
violet hues stream past,
sunset waits for love's regret,
long since made, and long since broken.
Brilliant crimson fled at dusk,
turning shades of gray,
as the palest moon should rise,
so would expectations die.
Lost beneath each darkened cloud,
mists consume our sight,
forever in an endless day,
that travels into endless night.
