I was driving across town and was cut off. Being cut off had become a theme on this day. I felt this inspiration arriving at my destination.

Why do you cut in front of me Seems you have no respect you see As you speed past me day and night Often blowing a red light Just to cut in front of me Many a time, I turn to look behind Finding no one in line But you persist, to ruin my bliss And cut in front of me At the bank An amusement park The grocery store line Or on a city street Pretty much wherever we meet Sometimes I rush ahead Wanting to stop you dead Only to turn and find You once again, cut me off in line

I knew a man once, who got very angry at the people who would 'cut him off' and often came to work telling me of his duels on the highway. He died in a terrible highway accident, having crossed the center median and hitting a semi head-on. I can't help but think it was just another one of his duels gone horribly awry.
