How we remember

when they were so young

how we used to

have so much fun,

trips to the Zoo

rides to the beach

then became teenagers

then did things

we did in the sixties.

Times move on

oh how it hurts

they went to universiy

moved away.

wish I was a friend

of Dr.Who

could take us back

to when they were young.

Now they have grown up

moved away

married and we have

granchildren on the way.

Coming of age

is like a merry go round

everything you do

still comes to town,

all of the things

though slightly change

are repeated in children

as they come of age.

come take a look

generations of families

on every page.

And we are there

in all our glory

grandad Freddie

and grandma Florrie

taking their time

as they turn out the lights

only each other

to say goodnight.
