There Is No God...?!?!

At this time of the Year...one can deny God with their tongue but never...with their hearts!

Poem Artwork

You know, some say there is no God...but

there’s a touch of peace and cheer combined…

Can't you…feel…it?

His Joy…filling us each year at this time

Oh I know, I know…

some don't believe that God sent Begotten down

but I tell you, if they ever look up at a starry sky

when this special wave rolls around…

thoughts will stray to a lonely stable

long ago… in Bethlehem town

Don't believe in God…

why, in this Season…where’s denial?

When the mere laughter of a tot

reminds us of a Holy Infant's smile

There’s a kindred spirit one can’t deny

and come mid-December? mosey down any street…

A wondrous tide provokes a soul's sigh

and even strangers meet and greet

It's like…there’s a contented flow

seeping throughout the whole earth

You can see it on faces wherever you go

and none can contain its widespread mirth

Ho! There's a Celebration going on!

Yes! A Gala so Glorious event again arrives!

Hear the carols and songs…

hearts are knit...harmony abides!

If there was ever an instance

when the existence of God cannot be shrugged

it's during this time when the mere idea

of foretold virgin birth gives the mind…a tug

Now, some can go on denying the presence

of this Miraculous Pealing

and avert the eyes when before an infant

Wise Men are depicted kneeling

But me? I’ve no better sense than to embrace

the Birth of God’s Son…Jesus, that’s His Name!

And as we Celebrate His coming…by faith…

a Belief in God and His Word… I’ll proclaim!

MERRY CHRIST-MAS TO ALL!

Is 7:4, 9:6, Lk 2:1-19

And one of all wishes you a wonderful Christmas. I try to surround myself with the music on these days myself. That is where I get my best enjoyment and keep the whole idea of this season in my thoughts. I enjoyed reading your piece and also enjoy the many memories that I have of past Christmases. Thank you for reminding us all Joyce. Bob

I am very grateful for the holy days (holidays), for without them there wouldn't be time to get together with family and friends and celebrate. I am also grateful that I had a childhood that included Christmas carols, the story of the baby Jesus, and all those other nice and beautiful events associated with Christmas.

For many years now I have not been with family and friends on Christmas Day or even Christmas Eve. In fact, at those times I have been and will be working writing like any other day of the year. I don't see what all the fuss about shopping and gift giving is about, because so much of it is simply materialistic and somewhat guilt ridden for not having been nice all year long. I am told that it is a time for children. I guess that is so because my childhood experiences with Christmas were wonderful.

So, I celebrate Christmas in my own way, and give all year long as much as I can to those in need because, to live like Jesus, one must not just act like him on one day of the year.
