The world that appears filled
With all that fill the senses with bliss,
Aloud and alone, I find myself wondering,
What is it here that I will ever miss?
I set my sight at all that is good and beautiful
And precious like the sun’s very first ray
Entering the room to wake me up
bringing back this chaos from dreams of disarray
Oh how happy I feel at every inclusion
Into the array of all that is wanted but unneeded
The joy that is missing feels unjust and never stay
Leaving thorns without flowers that were never seeded
When I hear it somewhere close, every time I curb the cry
I can’t see it but I know its the sound of my life passing me by.
