My Poem Title (Tinka's Challenge)

My Poem Title


"Bless The Little Ones".
They go to sleep at night,
To a mother's fable of "Creation"
When they'd rather hear the rhymes,
Of a "Feathery Deception".


And mothers' nature being wise,
They sure waste no time:
They "Don't Whisper That Good Night"!
They shout it. Chores await them
Long after the lids are tight.


So once again they'll try
Browsing through their  repertoire
"Ode To Marion 'Zippy' Riles"
Oh... Mom, the wonder dog again?
They've cerntainly heard all that!


But should "Sunrise" find them still awake
In "The House That Floyd Built",
"The Road To Freedom" will be closed,
This much they truly know,
For a grounding will be imposed.


And so they close their eyes, with
"The Seed of Hope" in their hearts,
That if mother hears "The Voice of Silence",
She'll leave the room, then... once alone,
They'll open their lids and shout: "To Life!".
