these two clowns showed up in my haiku project-- parts of their saga has already been posted as stand alone ku raise your hand if you know what a hi-grader is.

theme in 9 haiku Poet, foolish one, Sees what the wise will not see Shouts to the world “LOOK” Poet rides Red Mule down hill and up, chasing fox with a hound of no sense The red mule bucks, kicks, Throws poet into the mud: Poet gets back on. Poet bears Red Mule Piggyback mule comes to town Silly mule Poet and Red Mule, Beasts of burden, Stablemates Two of a kind Along the ridge top Poet canters Red Mule folly and nonsense Red Mule– passion colored equine poet’s muddy helper Poet, foolish one, Wise Red Mule, earthy equine, perfect pair . . . Poet and Red Mule, in the mines of memory: high-graders!
