Fire Once More

Burn me in the flames of hurt
Let me slip away to another world
Another world of victory
Let me rise like a phoenix
From my own ashes
The only part of me that could
Survive the flames
The light within all blazing gold
Shining feathers and glory
No one likes to think
Of decay
Of slow creeping fungus
As natural as both may be
So think instead of the purity
The heat and glow of fire
How it destroys and creates
I will be a part of it then

Tinka, you are a phoenix, you have risen from bad time, lost love and all the rest of life's hurdles to become a good poet. With each poem I see improvement. Good Job, my friend.

I think this is one of your best. It is healthy to always be the phoenix and to rise above.
