"You are the one

Master poet

Of them all.."

Stairway to Heaven

Before

Whose time

Am I alive

Will I be

A haunting spirit

Looking

Over brilliant shoulders

Will I have to write poetry

In chimney dust

Dating it

100 yrs

After

Me

Today I am really upset with this world...Why do people have to be so damn nasty? Why do they have to live double lives... telling you… and asking you about it at the same time.....such fun is not fun if someone’s life is at stake...Knowing that could kill you...I just say thank you ....you know who you are.......for messing my life ,my trust and my heart up.......hope to God that you will come to grip with the reality here.....and know what you are busy doing to me...a person that never ever had any intention of hurting any one......if you read my poetry wrong you may ask me about it first....before jumping to any secondhand shit......conclusion...just to tell you about one of my poems some one did not understand....and misunderstood it completely ask me and this was my answer... about the Shooting Star

Well the night my daughter died ...at that very moment she past away I was looking at a shooting star while driving to the hospital...and I saw her sitting in her bed in blue p j 's telling me that she was okay!!...  I realized that was not possible....because I was driving 300km to the hospital and she was taken there by plane.....and had no p j' s with her....and I looked at my watch and it was 8.30pm...so when the doctor told me about her death I asked him what time she past away and he told me 8.30pm....and then it was like my heart fell out of my throat...can't really explain the feeling but the poem was about that .. and a shooting star well....it will always remind me of that night....
I have one or two more writes where I mention the shooting star....and I relate death to it...hope you understand better now....May 24 will be 21 years later and I still weep okay... shit now I am crying

Take care

Love
Tinka

Very sad, but amazing, the way the beauty of the shooting star was found by you in your most painful moment.
We'll keep you close to our heart and in our prayers,
love, Birgit and Roger

I believe in signs and your shooting star was blessed as a special gift. In fact, I think you have been blessed in so many ways, and that your heart is a gem of time. I can only offer a prayer to your departed daughter for as an angel, she is in the wind beside you giving you those signs that a mother knows. I cannot imagine anyone wanting to hurt a poet so talented, she is true to her heart. I know you are one of my bright stars.

Tinka, I just read shooting star, as I hhaven't read all your writes, and it was a beautiful pouring out of your heart and the tradgedy of losing a loved one. Can't for the life of me figure how anyone could have negatively construed it.But,my dear, you Can't allow someone elses view or crirical spirit make you feel responsible or connected in any way, to things that in your awesome heart don't, never did, and never will exist. Very sad, Tinka. I've never lost anyone so close. It is strange, but your poem titles lately seem to be song titles from som of the classic songs of the fifties. Maybe it's only 50 yeas, not a hundred.

Love,

Ron

Though I had no idea of what you were thinking about when I read "Shooting Star", I cannot understand how anyone could have twisted it into something negative unless their intention was to find something to twist into a negative. Perhaps a hidden agenda? The loss of a child is something a parent should never have to endure and something that will never lessen in its torturous pain. I am sorry that someone used something so personal to hurt you again, Tinka. Reading this page has tears streaming down my cheeks. Such a very painful situation agrivated by someone who does not understand the heart.
Take care,
Sherry

A poet NEVER has to explain his/her poem to the public, it is upto the public how they can absorb and interprete the poem. Whicheverway they interprete the poem is how they had lived their own lives and interprete the poem with their own live's experience.

If someone comes around and asks to explain my poem, I would really be offended, it is as if this person who asked have not read into the core of my poem, and in that case, it is not necessary to explain, as the responsibility to understand the poem rests upon the readers themselves.

Readers interprete each of my poem differently, each experiencing their own life's experience, feeling my poems, empathy is very important for readers to be able to read a poet's poem.

If the empathy is not there then it is no need to explain the poem to that person. It will be a miss for that reader.

Like an artistically-inclined person looking at an art object. If you're not artistically inclined, you would not have known what the peice of art is representing; and reading poetry reflects just that.

This is what poetry is about - whether it is a miss or a hit, it depends entirely of the readers themselves, not you, for you are the artist, the author.

Sis I left a review for Shooting Star. That is such a heartfelt and touching poem. People often misunderstand my poems too, because as you know my poems are very personal, just like Shooting Star is for you.

I know that the hurt never goes away. When I lost my aunt Hazel to a brain aneurism in 1960, I was very deeply saddened, because this woman was not only beautiful, but God fearing as well. We all knew she went to rest in the arms of our Lord Jesus, but still, the sadness and the hurt that she was taken from us, just filled us.

I will not comment on the first part of your tirade here, because everyone knows how I feel about hatred, war, ignorance, and the like.

May the Lord Jesus bless you, and the soul of your daughter, and be with you always, and at your side constantly. With much love in my heart, joy to the world, peace on earth, & ((((((((((MANY WONDERFUL SISTERLY HUGGGGSSSS)))))))))), your little sister, Barbie

I hope and truly pray that the one who hurt you with words did it from a sense of not knowing what they were doing or saying. Ignorance is no excuse but ignornce we must accept and challenge in this lifetime Lord knows. Your words ring out loud and clear and I am sure whoever the culprit was well heed your advice. Now though our sweet romantic Tinka it is time to smile again.

Sis you know how I feel! Just don't let the jerks unsettle you. I do understand your need to correct them. Hope it makes whomever said anything stupid, choke on his nastiness. We mothers never forget!

What others say in ignorance should be given the same value as rock amongst a cluster of diamonds. You write from the heart and all here at AD you know you know this to be true... You are a gentle spirit, never change.... HUGS

Yes this is sad...touching my heart where the mother in me lives. I read this poem "The Shooting Star" for the first time because of what you wrote here. Tinka..ignorance causes a lot of hard feelings at times. I'm sure the one who hurt you didn't understand your pain and where it comes from. Forgiveness is the best revenge sometmes.
