If you're not a member of a Michael Jackson family, be glad.
I got burn out at age nine, when mom left that father of mine. It was all down hill then, never came around again. Of course God made me a loner, glad it wasn't an alcohol stoner.
Sometimes I need a drink, to drown out negative thoughts I think. But those days have ended, sober ways blended.
I'm product of a Michael Jackson family, very dysfunctional annually. Mom took me from daddy mean, too grandad meaner. Grandad was a mean old man, he'd knock you on the can. Kept his 38 caliber handy, big cigar and his apricot brandy.
My family isn't the worse, I know others with a bigger curse. Like my wifes family of stars, big heads up their own azzes or way out on mars. It's no wonder I'm burned, from all the fools I've learned.
Learned that I'm safer alone, sitting on my own throne. I can be miserable by myself, pull my toys off the shelf. Play and enjoy life anyway, each and everyday.
Well I used to like Michal Jason especially
When he was a child full of innocence it's hard to believe he could do such things, but there's always problems even in the best of families. Your poem brings so many Images to mind
And it's very emotional But there's always Hope for a brighter

Enjoyed, you write with such truth.
It is sad in a way but we all have to remember we are never alone.
If we look at being alone as a special time with God, special times with yourself...one can see just how special being alone with your self can really be.
Alone and open to God with all the wonderful blessings that He chooses to pour out on us....Now that is the splendid beauty that is of being alone...something special that is only between the receiver of God's glories and the Creator Himself!!
Spiritual hugs of love to you,

"That which does not kill us makes us strong" and often into a loner. The life of a child who grows up in an alcoholic environment will be sadly altered for ever. I have never had any use for alcohol, never liked the taste and never liked the way people changed when they drank it. I am glad you survived it all Grady and found your own road to peace.
Take care,
Sherry

one's life is definitly affected by the family environ ... a dysfunctional family often breeds loners an detahed personalities depeneding on how deeply one gets burned ... you expressed this point quite effectively in this detailed analytical poem ...
Stange how people change, your write is about so much here...I was a kid when the Jackson five sang One Bad Apple, loved him, he was so cute and as Sandie said so innocent, my how he changed, somehow I feel sorry for him, I guess he is a victim of circumstance, but his choices are his, as ours is as well. I too am about at the holiday burnout stage, relatives, and inlaws just left about an hour ago, this was the third day of feasting and socializing...I about ready for a little me time!
Blessings great write,

When I looked at Michael Jackson when he was a little boy, so innocent and all, and then compare that to what he is today, I can't help but feel sorry for him. He is a victim of life's circumstances. He was born innocent, and was once an innocent little boy, with great talents...
