Inside a dark shack
Over tattered cardboards
Lying on a soiled floor
We had slept hungry
With empty hearts
We woke up hungry
We needed food to eat
But didn't have any
Nor did we know
Where to get it
No sooner did we yawn
Than a we heard a bang
Hope had knoched the door
A messenger brought money
It was donated by a woman
An Algerian lady with a heart
She is Faadmo Saalim in Geneva
It was one hundred dollars note
We all broke to tears
That was a drop of hope
Dropped in the heart
Of a weeping hearts
Bringing light
to hearts darkened
By despondency

To give to another human in need is to give to God; I believe both our traditions speak of that. To think of our shame that we care so much of our luxuries, and not to feed the hungry, care for the sick or to save life....

There ARE nice people in the world, people that care. God bless her! May her blessings increase a thousand fold! I wish I could help, but am unable to. Disabled, can't work, no income coming in. Hard to help without money. :( But you are in my prayers, and so is that generous woman who helped.
