but later on becomes dizzy as he shifts his mood-gears from sanguine to melancholy.
High with narcotic leaves
He enjoys chewing Kat
It makes him contented
But feels pain afterwards
As melancholy kicks in
To get his pleasure back
He should kill the pain
Not with medical drugs
But with the Kat itself
To the Kat addict
Pain and pleasure
Are just neighbors

Addiction to Khat is a contributing factor to the problems in Somalia. It weakens the family's purchasing power as the father is a Khat addict. It reduces the productivity of about 75% of Somali men who are addicts because they sit 6-10 hours every day just chewing Khat and they sleep 12-16 hours afterwards due to Qaadiro. This weed is from hell.
