Morning Thoughts

I wake in the morning and smile knowing that my mind, my body and my spirit all belong to Christ and Christ alone

I have become acutely aware of the purpose for my existence: to do work for the kingdom

The darkness of a person without Christ is apparent to me: the eyes are a light unto the soul

I look back at my life and see the common thread of the glory of God in all of it even the bad

I believe that there are rewards for obedience

I don't understand all of the reasons why but

In my brokenness, for the asking, He picked me up and sealed me for the day of redemption

I see prayer after prayer answered on a continual basis

I am in awe of the forgiveness, mercy and grace afforded me and

Believe in the indwelling of the Holy Spirit

I know that Satan tracks me the same way a lion would stalk a wounded deer in the jungle but

Nothing can separate me from the love of Christ

There is a reason for everything

There are opportunities that can change someone's life, a five second conversation in a restaurant

Look for them; they are there like tags hanging on an assignment board for the taking

Warning: great deep joy is attached to the tags once taken

I believe God gives me songs in the night and day as gifts

If a loving parent wants to give good gifts to their children, how much more the Father longs to give to us

My life does not belong to me but by losing it I find it

Only a fool believes in something he cannot see

Only a fool trusts in someone he has never met face to face

It doesn't make logical sense but

I am a fool for Christ and

I truly believe that one day all knees shall bow and all tongues confess that Jesus reigns but

I would never kill someone because they don't believe the same way I do
