MERRY CHRISTMAS 2011
It appears time is flying
as I sit down to write again.
This has been an eventful year,
with a few tears but lots more grins.
Dick and I made a decision
to officially become a couple.
We share the same address
and our joy has more than doubled.
He has three books published
and I’ve now published two.
We’re often busy writing,
it’s what we both like to do.
We even wrote one together,
struggling through distractions.
Finally, though it’s finished
much to our great satisfaction.
We’ve been adopted by a cat.
Gizmo is her name.
She comes and goes as she pleases,
And has us quite well trained.
Sometimes Chaz spends the weekend,
When his master is away.
He’s Dick’s granddaughter’s dog
and he never wants to stay
Jeffrey is settled and happy.
He and Sandy enjoy a pleasant home.
It makes this mother smile
to know he’s no longer alone.
Heather and Keith continue to build
contented and successful lives.
Even when Keith’s work takes him away
Heather stays as busy as a bee in a hive.
Leha and Daisy, my little grand-dogs
get smarter by the day.
Grams brings them doggy toys
because they’re so well-behaved.
We never know what path
we’ll find beneath our feet.
We just need to take a step at a time
and enjoy each new experience we meet.
So I close by saying
MERRY CHRISTMAS to those I love.
I hope the New Year brings to you
happiness and blessings from above.
