Fingers Lace
Through dense clouds, fingers lace,
eagerly about-face,
as He comforts children …
with the touch of His hand.
Rock-a-bye me, Jesus,
safely I am embraced
by Your love, Holy Grace.
Though clouds ring ‘round His face,
He spreads joy …all hearts race.
Christ delights every soul …
when we’ve faith, take a stand.
Rock-a-bye me, Jesus,
small steps first must take place
before faith makes us chaste.
Though none have love to waste,
some falter, others race--
children--to grasp His hand,
bound someday for Holy land.
Rock-a-bye me, Jesus,
entranced, kneel, know my place,
as fingers weave, clutch, lace.
