Jesus, there's no Santa
to get this gift for me--
packaged, under a tree--
all I want for Christmas
is simply my daddy.
Mom says he's in heaven.
Jesus, please set Dad free
to spend Christmas with me.
Jesus, life is empty.
I'm truly in Mom's way ...
she says so every day.

If Dad's stuck in heaven,

it's an eternity--
my tears stream constantly.

Dad's arms ache to hold me.
This was a real tear jerker. I don't know if it was about you or another, either way, it's just so sad. Maybe you can't have your Daddy, but he's in your heart. For a six year old, that doesn't mean much I suppose. Well written poem.

This was a real tear jerker. I don't know if it was about you or another, either way, it's just so sad. Maybe you can't have your Daddy, but he's in your heart. For a six year old, that doesn't mean much I suppose. Well written poem.
