Kids remind us that material blessings are not our true treasure :)!

Went to the check-out at the grocery store
had all my purchases scanned,
then my grandson scanned his hand.

“Grandma, I don’t seem to have any price.
Does that mean I am worthless?”

“Of course not, Hon, you’re priceless.”

You should have seen him grinning ear-to-ear--
beaming in pride from my compliment--
that he knew was heartfelt, meant.

“Let me scan your mem’ry ma’am . . .
Participating in our moment, the clerk bent,
“Aye, he’s priceless--worth a mint!”
