Shekinah Glory

Peace we cry save us from death
fearful for our lives in our very breath
what of this world is it worth the cause
take a deep breath put the noise on pause
 

Who made the Stars the moon the expanse
do you imagine he would lead us a merry old dance?
thousands of years have come and gone
nothing has changed since the very first con
 

We've murdered, we've lied, stolen and cheated
we live for ourselves till our time's near depleated
now it's hot in the kitchen things are looking grim
still no surrender to his majesty to HIM
 

All through the ages the accounts have been rendered
not one on this earth will go unremembered
the Lambs book of life has recordings of all
from the mightiest tree's to the weeds oh so small
 

Why do we worry for our lives on this earth
we are mere flesh and blood preparing our worth
look to the Lord run for the prize
afore he comes as a thief, takes us all by surprise
 

Shekinah Glory seated on high
still his arising draws increasingly nigh
he who would save his life will lose it for sure
as he who would lose it knocks on eternity's door!
 

Now is the time to fall on our face
Now is the time to forget this old place
prepare ourselves for the new life coming
we cannot avoid it there is no use in running
 

When he ascended on high he promised us then
he would come back for us though he never said when
He told us to watch readily for signs of his return
yet mankind still arrogant of his word still does spurn
 

Eternity, forever is a long long time
no more sorrow, dying, crying oh so sublime
reach out and take that free gift we all were given
the day Jesus, lamblike, allowed those nails to be driven!
