The pessimist complains about the wind; the optimist expects it to change; the realist adjusts the sails.”` William Ward

I Am The Vestment You Did Not Choose

I am eternal, howled the wind
I cover all in temporal skins
Feel my shove, feel my embrace
I am the moment, on the chase

I am the vestment, you did not choose
The emporer's folly, cat's paw on ruse
I graze, and coddle, massage and stroke
I sting, I shove, I bite and choke

For all my unrestricted ways
Abuse or bliss, I never stay
I am eternal, I am the wind
Yet I will never reach.....within

Interesting poem. It gives us some new perceptions to consider--from the wind's point of view.

Love the wind, and your poem, Queenie; and, of course, your opening quote.

Like the Spirit of God, we cannot see the wind, but we feel its presence and know it is a vibrant and hidden part of reality.

There is a unique and classic quality to this poem that leads one to read it again. And again.

Well done!
