Spirituality is all about
Stepping into the hell
And dancing, exactly like
Sakyamuni Buddha danced,
Tying in a scarf given to him
By Yama, the King of Hell.
This is about the divine mystery
That is life, the art of survival;
About faith and forgiveness and
Accepting the blood and bones
And messiness of all these things
Gracefully, with no preconditions, at all.
It helps us step out of our ego-driven pettiness
That we mistake as sapience and strength;
It helps us put benevolence before our Selves,
Even in the face of the hellish horror.
This is what lies in our mind after we learn
How to lay down our contrived control of it
For the sake of one main purpose, survival.
Indeed, the truth is that living on earth can be a heaven and a hell. Perhaps, as you suggest, heaven can be met when we confront the hell with the spirituality that lies within us, if not in the mind, then in the soul.
It unites spiritual wisdom from the East and West to help readers experience Christ consciousness in the here and now. Combining the Oneness teachings of India with a fresh look at the New Testament.
Love ya!
