Anyway, off the ‘Top of my Head’ -
There was: The Squire’s Tale - The Friar’s Tale - The Knight’s Tale -
The Pardoner’s Tale - The Miller’s Tale -
The Wife of Bath’s Tale ... and More!
Just now, after a quick perusal of Cliff’s Notes -
It came to me that - it must have been a Really Big Stagecoach -
And Really Crowded - to hold all those Characters - eh Wot?
Nevertheless, and Whereafter - we shall use ‘Poetic License’ Herein!
Shades of Chaucer?
‘The Bath of Wife’s Tale’ Forsooth:
She was - Petite, Demure, and - Starving for Affection!
Having ‘Known’ - in The Biblical Sense -
Only Two Males previously in her Sixty-Something’ Life.
The First Date was one of Dinner -
Steamed Crabs, Steamed Shrimp, and Cold Coor’s Light.
Imagine the Scene from the movie “Tom Jones” -
Hunger, Anticipation, Roaming Lustful Eyes!
Afterwards, she followed me back to my humble Abode -
A Mobile Home - Trailer - Forsooth ‘Trailer Trash.’
She sat apart, in an over-stuffed chair, Babbling On -
And On - and ON! Only Conversation was Had That Night!
We merely Conversed until the Wee hours of the Mornin’ -
Then, a gentle Hug, and a quick ‘Peck’ and off she Went -
Into the Dark Night, in her Japanese Chariot!
Obsequiously, there Would be a Second Date!
This occurred within One or Two nights as she was quite Anxious!
I, on the other hand, was quite Reticent - SURE!
Another dinner, dancing, a few drinks, and Voila!
The Time, and She, and Me - were all Quite Ripe!
The Ole Trailer was Rockin’n’ Rollin’ That Night!
Being a Gentleman, suffice it to say That -
All of her ‘Hidden Charms’ were revealed That Winter’s Eve -
IN SPADES!
A late morning Breakfast Repast -
Some more Cooing and Wooing -
A little ‘Afternoon Delight’ -
Lil ‘Suzie’ and Lil ‘Willy’ were Quite Sated!
Many, many re-occurrences of these ‘Acts of Love’
Were repeated - usually Twi- or Tri - Weekly -
For Over Three Years - But -
ALAS and ALACK ... All Good Things Come to an End!
Be that as it May - It Was a Great Ride!
It Was a Great Tail!
It Was a Great Tale!
“Time and Tide Wait for No Man!”
Mayhaps a New Tale will Begin Forthwith?
“Lord Willin’ n’ the Creek Don’t Rise!”
Maybe More Baths With More Wives?
Divorced Ones n’ Widows Only - Need Apply!
Aromatic Candles - Bubbles - Large, Potent Drinks -
Massages - Caresses - Really Deep Kisses -
