"EVERY DAY, IN EVERY WAY ... I AM GETTING BETTER, AND BETTER ... AND BETTER !

AFFIRMATIONS © - Tom Hyland - 9/6/11 The dictionary tells us that they are statements Asserting that wished goals are already happening. However, an old adage is - “Wish in one hand, and Do-Dah in the other, see which hand fills the fastest!” I’ve been faithfully doing just that for over Eight years now ... to no avail! A memorized litany of affirmations Carefully affirmed each and every night, Incorporated with my prayers. Results? NADA! Zilch! Zip! ‘Nuttin’ Honey!’ So - does that mean my efforts are wasted? If so, then Why? If not, then why Not? The obviously ‘far-fetched’ assertions, Like lots of Money - are self-evident - Nope! The less insightful ones, like excellent health - Could be just Natural, or Fate, or Genetic? Ergo, I have recently gotten both angry and Lazy - Why waste a Litany on ‘Deaf Ears’? If HE exists - then HE already Knows my List! Right? But - according to ‘the Secret’ - These positive assertions, or Affirmations Should reverberate accordingly- Es Verdad? BAR ... Believe - Achieve - Receive! Are Time and Patience the Answers? I Dunno! Supposedly, placing Positive Thoughts into your Mind, Is like making Deposits in a Bank Account - Available later, for Retrieval ... Has my Balance been Compounding Lo, these many Years? DUH? OR ... Is my ‘Do-Dah’ Hand getting Awfully Heavy? Think! Thank! THUNK! AFFIRMATIONS ... Ya Gotta LUV ‘EM ! © - TKH.

Lots to think about in this one Tom,I too believe that affirmations are effective, and that is why I confidently say them aloud with faith that they will come true as I do my part.
Since I have been using them, I have written and published two books,and a plethora of blogs,among other things.
Keep affirming, believing,and taking the right daily action.

Eight years of doo dah. Does that mean a turd in hand is better than two in the bush?? I think not, especially with the high cost of handi- wipes. But hell you must have enough biomass now to start your own co-generation plant. Patrick

Personally, I do most of my praying to that "...big hairy beaver" and yes, "...my ‘Do-Dah’ Hand getting Awfully Heavy..." seems to be the situation for me too. Guess we'll have to adjust our affirmations. Dick

Wishing/Praying/Whatever to Him is a lot like trying to make a double chocolate cake out of an oak tree. Dat's my thought on the subject.
