Life just keeps me on my toes,
Full of simple joys and sad woes.
What it means no one can suppose,
Frankly, only God in heaven knows.
Do you have alternatives to propose?
A life, say, where only gladness grows.
Do you want to spend the day in a doze,
Or have a sun bath with a garden hose?
With a few true friends only you chose,
With enemies enough who you oppose.
Our success is all about highs and lows,
To smell the sweet perfume of the rose.
Dressed to impress in the finest clothes,
I walk through life’s valley on tiptoes.
I always made a lot of noise when entering a situation but I guess of late I have tried more so to use my tippy toes too, though its not easy to change a habit that has been lifelong, this write makes me think & I am sure it does anyone who reads it...-e-
I'm a sort slam down both feet letting everyone know I m in the vicinity. At least that is what I "used" to do. These days I have most assuredly learned to tippy-toe.
If there is one place that I'm glad that I don't have to dress for success its in God's valley of love. There I know I can be myself and so can you. What a wonderful poem. On tip toe, I think if we walk gently on this earth, when our time comes John, to meet our maker, we can enter in light footed and all. lol. Sweet poem. Have a blessed day, Mr. Light foot xo
lovely, you are getting so much better by the day, more of a poet than the writer you were.. it happens when the muse of poetry engulfs ,captivates and holds your thoughts and expressions like never before...J K Roseline

Welcome!
The poems in this beautifully bound book are a result of over twenty years of observations. Observations of the world around us and on the telecommunications network. All of the hate, love, heroism, disasters, and those who help.

Every now and then I try one of these long rhymers.
Unlike you, I usually screw myself into the ground.
Fun and well done.
