Why do lovers end up tearing each other apart,

Long forgotten the loving feelings at the start.

We all have weaknesses that love should heal,

Gaps and crevices in lives that love should seal.

You make my loneliness into enriching solitude,

I make your emptiness into a fulfilling plenitude.

You stir emotions within that feel like strangers,

 I stir profound emotions to banish your dangers.

I make you cry you tell me as it washes you clean,

You enter night shadows of my life as moonbeam.

Whereas once I felt dead, you make me feel alive,

Whereas once you felt lost, now you simply thrive.

Let us never succumb to tearing each other apart,

Let us never forget those loving feelings at the start.
