-- WIND AND RAIN – John Herlihy Hoping for everything Praying for nothing Destiny has its way Whatever I may say At the edge of time The moment never mine To inhabit before or after Much sadness or laughter The past was once now We did live somehow Now was once the future Soon the future will be past Wind as breath, rain as tears The sound as lilting music to ears With ease, a rambling mind stilled With content, an empty heart filled. - - - - - - (c) John Herlihy 19 December 2019

A lovely poem. We reflect on how events come and go. Looking into the future with fear, but on the day, finding it was not as bad. May we all have empty hearts filled!

I believe I'm interpreting all the doomsday scenarios that people think of that for the majority, don't come to pass. Even an empty heart can be made content.

With the wind blowing my sales and the sweet rain washing my body and watering my plants I rest contented, regardless of my fate.
