We often go about our lives,

As though knowing the future.

Our happiness grows, survives,

Destiny all tied up in a suture.

We think of our future as positive,

We take comfort in what’s coming.

Our dreams no cause to be negative,

Our future days arrive as if running.

Shadows mar our enlightened knowing,

Our doubts seep into the unknown.

Seeds of premonition into hearts sewing,

Until the true reality is a thing known.

Knowing the future an unsure proposition,

We should let it arrive without opposition.
