Most dragonflies are creatures of sunlight.

I’ve found them resting trance-like in the rain

They disappear in twilight and at night,

But fly again when sun warms up the lane.

The damselflies are weaker in their flight.

And easier to catch, which is their bane.

At rest, they always fold their wings, upright.

But, dragonflies, look like a glider plane.

When taken both together science placed

These large bugs in a group with its own name.

Which brings up one more fact that must be faced.

Some folks think ant lions are in the same.

One way to surpass such a dillema.

Is knowing one more fact I shall recall.

Ant lions have obvious antenna.

But  the Odonata's  hardly have them at all.
