Poem Artwork

On this night of special nights
Beneath the bluest moon glow
And crisp fall air
~~~
The Pixies dance and sing
With twinkling stardust in their hair
Above ground on their translucent wings
As the dark awakens the night
My eyes gaze upon a starry sight!
Twinkling high in the amber sky
~~~
The fireflies burnish light
Casts an crimson glow into the pool at my feet
An autumn gathering, a magical treat!
It’s the Bonfire of the Faeries
Our autumn harvest will begin soon
~~~
Among the russet leaves
Mother Faerie will fly down on a fiery leaf
Trailed by a tendril of crystal blue smoke
And sing her scintillating song of welcome
She’ll set a mood of gay enchantment
For all the forest to hear
Behold the radiant splendor of crystal lights
Of twinkling pinks, blues and yellows
Played upon our bonfire
Where we’ll dance and sing and cheer
thru out this magical night!
