As you walk through the rose garden of life, watch out for the pricks.

She loved the roses most of all
Their scent floating upon the air
Wafting away to fairie fair
Red roses crawling on stone wall

Flew towards the hypnotizing lure
Fairie blinded following nose
She flew and fluttered by a rose
Whose bouquet offered pleasures pure

An evil thorn within the vine
Sought to make fairie fair his own
Angry that he'd been left alone
Thinking himself so very fine

Thorn came upon a thought to keep
Lovely fairie to hear her sing
Reached out and tore one of her wings
She faltered fell began to weep

She could not fly up one more time
On ground she walked looking up high
Her friend a spider crawling by
Seeing her plight made web to climb

As fairie climbed the web to wall
Where roses waited for her song
Not knowing spider all along
Wove a new wing preventing fall

Fairie and spider soon best friends
Webs he would string
To songs she'd sing
And this is where this story ends
