Spring, melting streams, daffodils, budding trees, and all the little people living in and around them.

Poem Artwork

Spring doth approach
Elves are hiding
Trolls are sliding
Fairies rub their eyes
Winter's due reprise

Sunshine and rain
Shimmering webs
Spider's long legs
Dragonfly awakes
Wake up little snakes

Blossoms burst forth
Trumpet's blarring
Bells white sharing
All hail it is Spring
Let the forests sing

I understand you just had a violent storm with, probably, more snow. But, spring is very persistent and eternal, arriving soon to bring all of these little delights you just wrote about to life. Spring is awakening around here everywhere. We have seductively smelling blossoms on the orange tree, and roses in bloom.

I'm waiting to spring forward, but old man winter is still with us. However, your poem has brought some much needed hope for us who are tired of the cold. Enjoyed.

Ah, the dreaded winter is over and spring chimes forth with its sweet embrace, how you have waxed eloquent the list of things that begin to happen in that great awakening, as dragonflies and "little snakes" awake. Lovely.
