Watching my g-grandson on his rocking horse today inspired this.

Poem Artwork

He's on his rocking horse
He's going really fast
Riding the range to feel
What's false and what is real

Who knows what lurks behind
Who knows what lies ahead
He's rocking faster now
He'll blow your mind and how

Black mane flies in the air
As does his long blond hair
Together for all time
His laugh will blow your mind

Slow down just sit a spell
You sure played hard as hell
That rocking horse loves you
It knows you love it too

THANK GOD FOR CHILDREN...AND IN THIS CASE, GRANDCHILDREN. THE SIMPLEST MOVEMENT FROM THEM TURNS ON THE POETIC FLOW. I LOVE THE HORSE AND THANKS FOR SHARING. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...HIS+INSPIRATIONS

Ahhh, Jane I so love this latest poem of yours. I can actually "see" him aboard his Rocking Horse . . .

Rocking horse's experience is very precious to a child, even st my age I can still remember it and have dreamed about it. It was documented in my poem/story of "Dreamscapes and Fantasy - Heaven". Your g-grandson will remember this toy years from now.

A very cheerful write, sweet friend!

The joy of watching a little child get into his toys and things such as the rocking horse, wagons etc. They can be really intense and joyous and this is conveyed clear to the onlooker. Lovely poem on a lovely subject.

I have a picture of me when I was that little riding my little horse on springs, though they were a lot less "comfortable" so to speak way back then...-e-

The rocking horse in our house was always the most popular of all the toys. Thanks for the memories, your poem rocks.

Rocking horses, who can resist them?
like sledges, they are a child's
enchanted means of transport,
of riding the rainbow and
roaming the range.
