Memories of Things Past…

Elementary school boy’s bathrooms,

High school locker rooms,

Hallways in same high school,

Pictures of old schools inside and out,

Powerful memories, I do shout…

Bedrooms over looking the beach,

Sounds of kids playing there just out of reach,

Music from the merry-go-round,

Bumper cars hitting and squealing another sound…

Old movies, seen in black and white,

First color ones coming out; oh they were so light,

Games at friend’s houses, out on the beach,

Carrying that raft or surfboard, surfing with the teach…

Homes on certain streets, memories of friends gone,

Parents of friends, sunrise over Sea Isle, surfing at dawn,

Riding my bike on Landis Ave,

Seeing the floods from northeast storms,

Driving to Ocean City with dad & mom,

Shopping on Friday nights, get to buy a 45-rpm record, not CD or rom…

So many good memories I can relate,

If time did not have any constraints…
