I wrote this prior to feeling better, but wanted it to get posted so here it be...

Not asking herein for help,
Just getting it all out,
And doing so with the scream, the shout,
And the yelp...

Poem Artwork

Suicide…

Attempted in the past,

No responsibility then,

Rufuz would, of a broken heart, die,

Deserve that he does not…sigh.

Would it help?

In short vision, yes,

Money, again, tight,

Got to keep going,

Got to keep trying,

Else in hell I will be frying.

Such a stupid reason,

Wanting death, not just teasin’,

Have even considered running,

Away from home, with my home, to a place of sunning…

Scared though I am,

I know I cannot commit,

Anything to cause myself or others harm,

Therein I would have to go out on the lam…

Still I have my job,

A place to live as well,

I have Rufuz and Rene (when she is around)

I don’t think I have,

The right to really complain

No one else to lay this blame

I am so sorry for acting so lame…

Thanks for listening & commenting, if you did

Let me take an extra anti-depressant tonight,

Afterwards therein I will replace the lid,

Really, really tight, just so right…!

Consider this a diamond moment where the spirit is pressed to maximum pressure--and what's the since in ruining a perfectly fine
lump of coal that produces the firey humor that your writing always portrays Ed? Besides, Rufuz would dig you up.

(See, your humor is contagious, just like you.)

blessin's and smile man, it's gon' be okay.

I'm, glad you got through this again Ed.
It's like a recurring nightmare. You must
face it head on!I see that you have all the
right reasons why you should never contemplate
such a thing. Perhaps you need to take that extra step
that will keep this from recurring! God bless you!

Ed, I know just how you feel, as I imagine many other do as well. I appreciate the vent, and I hope that it is of some help, but dear sir, life, even when it is bad, even when things are darkest, it is still our most precious commodity. So hang in there.

Good grief, Ed.. I leave for a few days and there's that "S" word in your den! My dear, sweet petunia... you're not done here, not by a long shot. Tomorrow is the day that the sun will shine, the sea will kiss you on the lips, Rufuz will laugh out loud and peace will come... you don't want to miss a thing! You are loved... don't you know that? Now you do. Take care, you... get naked and do the limbo! That always cheers me up.. as long as I don't have any mirrors around.. (grin) katy xox.

Glad you put the disclaimer in front of this, Ed. Truly hope you are feeling better now. You have the right idea - what would poor Rufuz do without his Dad?

I think we all get depressed some times, and just have to do our best to shake it off - and trudge on. Right? Right> RIght!
