My deepest condolences for the departed soul. I lost a very close friend, who was a promising quantum gravity scholar, suddenly of brain stroke. It shows how ephemeral life can be. Thanks for posting this sensitive poem.

A beautiful tribute to a truly beautiful soul - he will be sorely missed. He always offered a gentle and encouraging word and I greatly admire his work.

Reggie was my friend, too, Ed, and we exchanged books, and I really liked his book. He will surely be missed, and thanks for this heartfelt tribute to one of AD's own.

Thanks, Ed, for this solid and well-deserved tribute to the most unassuming and down-to-earth writers you could hope to "meet". This is a total shock and I was only thinking about him recently, wondering if I had missed what was going on with him. Always upfront and without pretence of any kind, yet deeply thoughtful and full of information and well-considered knowledge. I, too, would like to extend my heartfelt sympathies to his family and friends at this time of their sad loss, and am grateful that they had the thoughtfulness to let us know and include us in their circle of confidants at this difficult time. My love and prayers of support and sympathy are with them. Reg was a man of absolute integrity and 100% pure gold and I am sure he lived each moment in the fullness of life that he expressed such delight as well as, at times, frustration! - in. He was the salt of the earth that has returned to season it afresh with his wisdom and understanding. Life is indeed, fragile, but he lived it strong. Fine man and fine commendation, Ed. Thank you. Thank you Ed for this beautiful tribute to a man I too had come to admire and respect. We exchanged emails, and he was a wonderful person. I especially loved his post card series of New York in the forties and fifties. He will be missed.To his son, You have a very fine dad, who will be with you now in spirit until once again we are all reunited with our loved ones who have passed.My condolences to you and your family.
