Well it will only get me in more controversy, but I don't mind a ring of fire. My thoughts on God is this, being the staunch feminist that I am, I think that the organized religion is a patriarchal plot to justify male rule and I DO NOT agree with any of it. Although I don't doubt there is a God to counterbalance the Goddess of whom I worship in my religion of Wicca. I am a practitioner of both the pagan and witch religion. I honor the Goddess and the witch of whom were burned at the stake in Salem in the 17th century for having marks on their bodies such as freckles or birthmarks of which I have both and in those times, I would have been stripped, put on public display, shaved in personal areas, and probed with a pricker to see if I had a "witch mark" and then staked and burned. It was a way to do away with women of high intelligence and wisdom. The God in my religion is subordinate to the Goddess who rules. Everyone is entitled to believe what they want. I write religion in all of my novels because organized religion has lost enchantment nowadays and I put enchantment back into religion in my novels. Sex and religion can and do ride together. I not only practice Wicca, but on a daily basis, I incorporate Zen Buddhism, L. Ron Hubbard's Church of Scientology, I am a very staunch and dedicated practitioner of Frederick Perl's Gestalt Therapy, and I most definately am a Darwinist, a firm believer in Evolution and a firm follower of Charles Darwin. None of this combination of wisdom and enlightenment in my present life has hurt me one bit. I am on a righteous path and I am successful at what I do because of a mix of spirituality. Much respect to you, Ed.

Ed if you don't know for sure it is only due to your own disbelief. It's too sad a situation for anyone to yelp at you;-) If I never read a bible or heard one word about God or the blessed trinity, I would still know Him. Because we are all imbued with His spirit, and those who choose to believe when He stirs the spirit know the difference. Those who reject or deny Him do so at their own choice, and I have no wish to tell you to do otherwise since you have free will. But please be as kind by not telling me it is only from a book that is an insult to the spirit of my belief. Well written! Eileen

:) I really like this one Ed. These are questions that I've actually asked on many occasions. I'm not going to go into what my "beliefs" and theories are here as I don't feel like having people jump down my throat..but I feel much the same as you. HUGS (give some to Rufuz too :) )
