Finding some fond memories of late...

Poem Artwork

To OCHS we went,

Never to get there a penny spent,

Twelve miles away to the north,

A million miles away from Sea Isle’s protective cocoon,

Never did we meet in Sea Isle, then, an African American,

From freshman year we were on their list to us torment…

As kids we see things differently,

They were just kids too for us,

Though they seemed to act tough,

And called us whitey, things everywhere were rough…

Four years of growing,

Four years with knowing,

At the end we would be away,

No longer in Sea Isle, its lifestyle easygoing…

How we now sometimes do miss,

That time in our lives, that pure bliss,

Virgins we were to the world that did then exist,

After high school we were pushed or sometimes thrown,

Down into the realm of reality, into an adult abyss…

We too sometimes miss those old times, filled with bliss, but the memories are a blessing too. We enjoyed your shared memories!

I was s0ooo happy to graduate....
Don't think much about those days,
but do think about all the girls.
I was very fickle....I loved them all..
no, I didn't make love to them all, but tried.
Hi Ed! Hi Rufuz......Did Rufuz go

How we now sometimes do miss,
That time in our lives, that pure bliss,

I miss many things from 'the old days,' but at least we have our memories, and hopefully the good ones can sustain us.
