A painful memory, as we were all out drinking that night, these two left early, one never to return again...

Poem Artwork

Driving after his prom,

Four times the legal limit,

Then no laws for such, wow,

Thankfully this has changed now.

His girlfriend in his lap,

On her head she felt a tap…

When she had from unconsciousness awoke,

Her boyfriend would never again her poke,

The gods in his case had spoke,

Took did he one last toke,

Lost his legs & head in the accident,

Hopefully he was directly heaven sent…

This is terribly sad. Young lives are too often lost in vain.

How horrific Ed! It's unbelievable what a car accident can do. Too bad some people never learn that lesson.Especially youth think they are invincible! Too sad!

WOW!!

this woke me up this morning! I don't drink so I don't "Understand" the need to go past the point where one loses one's freedom and this is what alcohol (and smoking) does to it's owners. I get high on life everyday and nothing feels better than that! Thanks for an eye opener. If it saves just one life then it is worth it.
