Niagara falls in an early 1900's winter photo...

Forget global warming, In the early nineteen hundreds it did not exist, This picture of extreme cold at Niagara falls I couldn’t resist, That is ice there on the falls forming… As kids the bay froze over enough to play hockey, The bay is made up of salt, same stuff used to CLEAR ice in winter, From those chunks of ice I bet you could get more than a splinter, Imagine the photographers surprise when this he took to the printer… Could it happen again, one asks, Stranger things have happened, Hope those people have brandy in flasks, Does not as well look like a place to undress and bask…J © ed ~ 8/6/06

Walked eight long blocks to college classes in January, 1962. It was -50 F below. No, our spit didn't freeze before hitting the ground.

Nope not a place to play naked in the filed of ice...everything will be so shrinked you woulda give it sock theropy to brink it back to life......lol!!

Awwwwww brrrrrrrrrrrrr....from a peenie to a dot..and a fluffy to a wart...and no freebee to play with!!

Now that looks like a blast from the wicked witch of blizzards!We have always had weather extremems but hard to remember from one generation to the next.I don't think it could happen again because of all the chemicals in our air that have changed its composition.

Seeing this ild sepia photograph shows why the women then didn't get cold feet. Look at the long dresses!
