Goodbye, ruby Tuesday
Who could hang a name on you?
When you change with every new day
Still I’m gonna miss you…“Rolling Stones”

(circa 1967)

__________________________________________

A thirteen year old I was,

The Stones just one of my music loves,

This song came out on 45,

I did not care to hear it live,

I just wanted it to work on my “stereophonic”,

But each time, and each returned record,

It skipped and skipped & skipped some more,

Seems I got the one of the batch that was of skipping, chronic…

I kept each Friday taking it back,

The store in Ocean City when dad went to shop,

Seven long hard days between,

Could have hitchhiked back then, it was the scene…

I don’t recall ever getting the record to work,

Though I did eventually buy the album,

That song to this day I know the words,

Done by the Rolling Stones, not the Byrds…

I love that song, too, Little Bro - and I confess - I played it so much - I wore it out, and then we gave it to you for Christmas!! Sorry. I hope this won't effect the lavish gift I know you got me this Christmas.
