You cannot imagine how much I miss that day,

Just toolin’ around in our boat soakin’ up the suns ray,

I was about as happy as anyone can be,

Cruisin’ the back bay & a bit out to sea…

Rene always liked big waves,

To plow through them on the way to our graves,

She would remind me of the Perfect Storm,

Even that day in October it was perfect & warm…

Twas my moms birthday, but we opted for a day of boating,

A day to the sea we spent devoting,

Just a day enjoying each other, the sea, the sky and floating,

Now when I see others out there it is time for me to be gloating…

I love the water and maybe it is because my sign is Cancer but it is so relaxing and I love to watch and feel the waves.

Dearest Ed,

Why live in memory when you can do it again? :) 'Course, you have to wait until winter is overwith, but...until then, keep writing beautiful poems like this! Well done, my (((friend))).

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

Dear Ed,

Boating is such pleasure! We lived next to a wonderful lake connected to a group of lakes, then to a river, when we lived in Northern Wisconsin. Feeling the wind against our faces, feeling the water beneath our fingertips, feeling the camaraderie with other boaters, and feeling freedom! If there was a boat, now, in my backyard, I'd be heading out to it!

Thank you for sharing your memories,
Sharon

Don't you mean boating?
I like the picture very much. Your happiness is as bright and clear as the blue sky - infectious too.

Thanks for introducing yourself to Sharon.

I absolutely LOVE the sea!
You may not have a gorgeous home in a lushly wooded area, Ed,
but you do seem to have some things the rest of us only dream
about.
Enjoy your boating!

Sounds absolutely marvelous, Bro - you need to get back out there - and swing around through the St. Lawrence Seaway and pick us up - lunch is on me!
