Ah, for a house by the sea…

But would I listen then to myself now...?

Poem Artwork

During my visit to the beach today,

I dreamed and wished for the past to come back & stay,

To again live by the sea, to awaken to the waves,

To be young again and dig our own sand caves…

Just a small home of little importance,

Surrounded by a small white picket fence,

A deck to enjoy the sunshine & awning to sit in the rain,

But I know it will never happen, I have that much sense…

The house could be like my childhood home,

A place I did when little not want to from roam,

I regret getting older and each day of my lot, I did groan,

Now that I am older still, I regret my life of being alone,

I wish to my childhood I could still today myself phone…

Ed, there are many summer homes just like you've described right here on the Oregon Coast. Average price, depending closest proximity to the water will range from $450,000 up to and beyond a million or so bucks. Let me know and I'll put you in contact with one of our greedy real estate agents. Good write by the way.

thanks,
Dan

Alas, the past is sadly dead and gone, Bro. It's probably time for us all to live for the here and now, and to enjoy the things that we do have.

A little sorrowful piece with sand between the toes.
Regretting a life of being alone its not better than regretting the fact of not flying, even before one flaps the arms and tried.
As always...a perfect reminiscence.

I can relate Ed! I long for a place by the ocean.I took it for granted most of my life. At least you're still close enough to visit whenever you want.;-)
