Almost twelve was I Mostly tooled about in my boat Bought gas at Anchorage Marina Got hired to pump gas & clean fish Enjoyed to be around anything that did float… Worked late in the day As I do still to this very day Hated early mornings The only time I went in then Was when there was a storm warning… Those days we pulled every boat Set them on land, nothing left in to float Had a great time working there then Would love to do so now again… © ed 6/2308

Ed, if you love to pull boats ashore you should try the Navy, last i hear, the new "capt'ns" can't read that fathoms scale and keep on plowing sand bars.
Nice memories though.

You could still be a tour guide with all your experiences and wisdom. I always want to be a tour guide on a bus trip or something. They do need people like this who know their way around and are comfortable with make people more comfortable. You make me more comfortable with your writes. You will find a suitable job for you soon.

We always remember our first work experience. It may have been a little difficult than, today we look back, and wish life were so simple again. Well written.

Hey, if you can still clean fish, brother, we may have an opening for you at Pee Wee's new, soon to be opened, Canadian Wilderness Compound. But in the winter, you'll have to shovel tons of snow.
