As well, what do I know...

Poem Artwork

Why keep us in suspense,

The powers that be know,

Who will be new to power,

To be if you will, I would not,

At the helm of the greatest country,

In this the free world, that we know…

The sky may be gray,

Over the general populous,

Unable if unemployed,

To find a job, anywhere to stay,

But the powers that are to be,

Still speak in esoteric answers,

That none of those of us,

Who need answers otherwise,

Do understand, do care about,

And still do they drag us all,

Through the bushes two…

When if ever will the “great” ones,

Speak to the lowly on the totem pole,

Of the things we need to hear,

Though in the end, no answers will be near,

And those of us at the bottom of the barrel,

Will live with what we know quite well,

Though can never quite tame for our well being,

And that said, will we ever subdue our fear…

Yea sometimes it feels like no matter who is in power our lifes if controlled by the system and depending on them for our day to day existance...nothing will change.

Lil'brother, there are two circus in town you can pick one or the other, or be home with me, Rufuz, PeeWee and a few crates of Coors and contemplate America doing it all over again (make a fool of themselves I mean)

Interesting. Very interesting. I think this great country of ours would fall apart if politicians spoke with truth, honesty and integrity AND in words that most people could understand. Wouldn't that be brilliant? Well said,

God bless you. Kathy

Think about it. Each of the two major candidates have been filtered through respective halves of the country. The winner will be further filtered through both halves. It would be surprising if the elected Prez, then, would be much more than the lowest common denominator of the voting public. But campaigns, like administrations, will likely be judged by events largely beyond their control. It's probably a roll of the dice whether we get the president that's best for the country or the one the country is best for.
Best regards,
Leland

This election is a stew pot of arrogance and contrived rhetoric, (yada yada yada - same old crap every day) (I do like Sarah Palin though) which leads me to believe that more is happening here than what we see or hear. There is a spiritual battle raging for the soul of America, and no matter who gets into office, I believe there will be a far-reaching revolution that will change most of what we have come to accept as normal.

I take it you don't vote; in some ways I can't blame you. I changed to a registered independent but that would be a wasted vote. It will always be a choice between the "lesser of two weasels"

The sky may be gray,
Over the general populous

And most of our politicians want to keep it that way - an oily gray - yuck. Don't let 'em fool ya, Bro.

Here's where that faith comes in. We have faith that this nation will make the right choice. But whoever we pick will have a real and total mess to clean up. Have faith my friend in the people of the nation not only the leader they pick. Love, Bonnie
