Poem Artwork

Scariest place on earth,

Worked there in my youth,

Was a ghoul working the ticket booth,

Whatever it cost well was it worth…

The breaking surf below,

The lightening & thunder above,

A creepy old organ playing in the parlor,

Over the edge no one did anyone shove…

An eerie fire did take it in 1987,

Fell into the sea its final act,

A great place for fun it was,

Will it ever be back,

Maybe with the devil a pact…

Perhaps now it is a nice place for children and all to explore. Children are natural explorers who know no danger. Thank you for an informative write!

Nice place for children to play after midnight! where some heavy chains dragged over wooden rotten planks? and skeletons rattled their bones in secret closets?

Loved your poem about the castle. I loved going to that scary place. I was sad to see one of the best landmarks go. Actually I like all of your writings, except for the dark ones. Keep up the good work...lol.

Haunted houses creep me out. Last one I went to, an ex roomie of mine and I watched Nightmare on Elm Street: the first, second, and third, all in a row. Then she gets the brainy idea: let's go to a haunted house. Have never liked them: wear glasses, and hated people reaching toward my face. Don't walk all that well, either, hate people grabbing my feet!!

Took my glasses off. Last room, someone taps me on the shoulder. Brush the finger off. Again. Brush off, again. Again. Turned around, GRABBED the guy, pulled him into my field of vision and screamed into his face, "WHAT DO YOU WANT?!??"

RUH roh. Freddy Kreuger!

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!

RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!

Needless to say, mowed over three kids getting the H out of there. Haven't been in one, since!

Thanks for the memories. I think. LOL Well done, Ed. PERFECT for the BOO! Season.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

Oh how the memories of this castle flow through my mind. When we got to the rat room, I grabbed my son's hand and literally flew through it without his feet once touching the floor. Great memories and great write. Thank you Ed, Love, Bonnie
