Poem Artwork

My beards gettin’ white,

My hair not quite,

It’s still though a bit light,

It’s an age thing, why would I it fight…

My desires seem to have changed,

Not interested in driving as far ranged,

I just want an easy job, not very distant,

The older I get, the more I get, I suppose, consistent…

Calmer I try to be,

I allow others to of me see,

Maybe that is a flaw in my thinking,

Better I do be though since I stopped drinking…

Well I can relate with all of that old buddy, I still like the odd cold beer on a warm day or a glass of nice wine with a good meal but other than that they can keept he booze and since I quit smoking...dope has no draw for me either. Still a romantic and a lover at heart and hope to be till the day I die...

ED - I like the hat. A SMILE would make the PIC better.

Now, with the chill, is that a coat, or a Sweater?

Wanna be - Healthy, Wealthy, and Wise?

Take a Purgative - Get a Twinkle in your Eyes!

With Acceptance now, you Start to get Smart,

Welcome to Old Age - you Big Ole Fart!

The older we get, the wiser we get. We start to realize there are changes we can make in our lives and things we have to live with and accept, white hair, baldness for some, maybe a few wrinkles and those extra pounds. Thank you for sharing Ed.

Awww, Ed, quit trying to be old. You are a young whippersnapper (whatever THAT means). "Seasoned," yes, that is the word. Those white hairs? Just the chlorine (bleach) in your bath/shaving water. Yes, that's it. That little tremor when you hold your hand just right? It's just itching to slap someone! Yep, that's what it is, by cracky!
