Life is for living, loving and learning through making our mistakes. I have made my share as well but I have no regrets. I refuse to believe that there is a God so petty that he would punish us with health problems in our old age for mistakes we made in our young age. lol Hang in there bro.

We can all chip in our little bit and add to or endorse the existing "karma" on this page, Ed. It is a universal law as well as a spiritual one that there is no effect without a cause and I, for one, know that there can be a build up of a bodily response from age-old "causes" both physical and emotional/psychological. Whatever we experience, our bodies take it all in and some "cope" or are more resiliant than others. Then, as Joyce has already said, we ALLLLL get sick for one reason or another - again our body's response to what presents. We are each one of us unique and there is no magic formula. Guilt is a heavy burden that we can damage ourselves with but I think that forgiveness is two-fold: forgiving ourselves or making peace with ourselves is paramount, but also, in Christian terms, forgiveness is also divine and is received from a Source outside of ourselves. We can all play with words, but the effects are the same. And Dad's, of course, right: what matters is what you do today, not what you did yesterday... at least, that's now what your body needs to know! That's my three happenth worth, Ed, but one of the biggest self-healing agents is laughter and acceptance, so have yourself a riot on both if you can! I still haven't told you my awful joke... That phonecall is still forthcoming sometime! :)) xx
