But he/she’s got to be just right,
Not too heavy and not too light,
A bit of hair to cover his body,
Has to be clean, not cheap or shoddy…
I guess I want another Rufuz,
Full of ginger & lovingly full of fuzz,
Loving his dad as I did love him,
Dragging me along on walks,
To help keep neat and trim…
Something like an Australian shepherd,
Or maybe even a Lab or Chesapeake mix,
I have already picked out a good name,
Want to name him or her Jersey,
Just need some companionship, though,
What with happened last year, both to Rufuz & I,
I am still a bit reluctant to allow my love for a dog to grow,
Thought even about a cat, but do they allow in my park a leopard…;-)?

Sorry about the cut-out of my cell phone batteries the other night! :)) I told you they were on the blink - and thanks for the luverly poem: I live a few miles back up-river from the actual Harbour, along the River Frome. But the whole Harbour is sandy-beached, making boating DIVINE!! My love to you, dear Friend. Hope the new job is also going well.... xxxx
